How does the process work?
To get started with creating your dream piece of jewelry, you can schedule an appointment with one of our Gemologists via this link here. Can I come for an in-person appointment?
Yes, we work by appointment only in our New York City Showroom. You can schedule an appointment via our booking calendar. You can book an appointment via telephone, video chat, or in person.
If I don’t see a price for a piece on your website can I order it?
Yes, we can customize any piece you see on our site and make modifications, so please reach out to us and contact us for any and all inquiries for your requests.
How long does the process take?
We recommend starting the process 2-3 months before you want to propose in order to allow enough time for collaboration on designing the perfect Ring!
Who will I be talking to?
You will be working with our experienced team and Josh Levkoff himself.
What are your hours of operation?
Clients can visit our jewelry studio in New York City Monday through Friday, but by appointment only.
Where are you based?
We’re located in New York City’s Diamond District on 47th St, and are planning on opening a second studio in Westport, CT this year!
Do you work with couples that are shopping together or just one person?
We work how you want to work! In the past, we’ve worked solely with one person shopping for their significant other, couples shopping together, and clients who bring their friends and parents. We’re very accommodating!
Do you work with people across the country or the world?
Yes! We work with many clients within the US, but also have many international clients that require high-end jewelry services! Because of our remote process, desktop sharing, and 3D renderings that we send to clients, you can be anywhere in the world and still receive beautiful pieces of jewelry from Josh Levkoff!
What settings and designs can you create?
We design all pieces and Rings ourselves in-house. Anything you dream up, we can create!
Do you sell colored Diamonds?
Yes! We sell natural, untreated, GIA-certified colored Diamonds with high purity and fancy cuts.
Do you sell colored gemstones?
Yes! We sell every gemstone from Rubies to Emeralds to Sapphires to Alexandrites to Pearls! You name it, we have it!
Are your Diamonds natural?
Yes! All of our Diamonds are 100% natural, untreated, GIA-certified Diamonds that follow the Kimberley Process.
Do work with or sell lab-grown Diamonds or moissanites?
We do not sell or work with lab-grown Diamonds or moissanites. We only work with and sell natural, untreated, and conflict-free Diamonds.
What are Conflict-Free Diamonds and do you sell them?
These Diamonds have been purchased from legitimate sources that are not involved in funding conflicts and are in compliance with United Nations resolutions. The seller hereby guarantees that Diamonds purchased are conflict-free, based on personal knowledge and/or written guarantees provided by the supplier.
Josh Levkoff Jewelry, along with the global Diamond industry, has a zero-tolerance policy toward conflict Diamonds. The industry at large looks to verify Diamond exports to prevent the trade of illegal Diamonds through measures such as the Kimberley Process, which tracks Diamonds from mine to market, in addition to industry partnerships with the United Nations, world governments, and other non-governmental organizations.
At Josh Levkoff Jewelry, we only work with the largest and most respected suppliers who, like us, proudly adhere to the standards established by the Kimberley Process. All of our Diamonds are warranted to be conflict-free.
Josh Levkoff Jewelry will continue to support and promote any process that works to uphold legitimacy in the Diamond trade.
Are your Diamonds GIA certified?
Yes! All of our Diamonds are certified by the Gemological Institute of America, and we include certification of the stones used with each of our pieces.
Can I sell my Diamond to you or upgrade my Diamond?
Yes, while we cannot guarantee the purchase of Diamonds brought to our stores, we do buy Diamonds that appeal to our standards of quality and integrity. We can also upgrade them for another stone. Much of our selling and upgrading of Diamonds is done on a case-by-case basis, so please reach out to us directly if you’re interested in this process so that we may discuss it further.
Can I reset my Ring?
Yes, we work with revamp projects all the time! We can reset or resized your Ring into any design or style you want. Just reach out to our team, and we’ll be ready to transform your old look into something trendy!
Can I see the Ring before I buy it?
You will not be able to see the exact Ring prior to purchasing it, but you will receive a 3D rendering of exactly how your finished piece will look prior to moving into final production. In addition to this, you will be able to see the Diamond itself before it is implemented into your piece, and can view our samples of Rings by clicking here.
Is it possible to lose a small Diamond set in my Ring?
Yes, it is possible to lose MicroPave Set Diamonds from your Ring since there is very little metal holding the Diamonds in place. If hit hard enough in the same place repeatedly or if the Ring is taken off too quickly, you can break or shift the prongs and a stone could pop out.
From normal daily wear and tear, there are actions that can cause smaller Diamonds to pop out. While this can happen as Rings age and experience wear and tear, please note that when a Ring or piece of jewelry is delivered to the client, they have all been tested to ensure all Diamonds are securely set.

At Josh Levkoff we refuse to copy and sell any piece of jewelry that has a Patent, Patent Pending, Trademark, Copyright, or anything of this nature attached to it. To this fact we show some images on the site that we do NOT claim we made nor do we sell them.
How does the Diamond selection process work?
You will let us know your approximate budget and Stone shape, and then we will curate a selection of Diamonds for you based on those preferences. From there, you can select your favorite Diamond, or give us feedback so we can refine our search and find you the perfect one!
How do you source your Diamonds?
We partner with some of the largest manufacturers in the US and overseas to handpick the perfect selection of Diamonds for you.
How long does it take to make a decision?
That is up to you! Many clients come in, meet once, and pick their favorite Diamond right on the spot. Others take longer, and will come to visit us 2 or 3 more times.
One thing to note is that we cannot hold Diamonds for lengthy periods of time without a deposit on the stone itself. So, a decision on a specific Diamond needs to be made within a few days, otherwise it will be released back into our inventory.
What metals do you work with?
We work with all precious metals. 14K White, Yellow, and Rose Gold. 18K White, Yellow, and Rose Gold, as well as Platinum.
What if I don't know the finger size?
First, you can order a Ring sizer or contact us directly with pictures of her hand holding different items that we will use for proportions.
If you’re trying to surprise her, there are a few tricks to help to determine Ring size:
- Ask one of her friends. You know at some point or another she has let her friends know her size for that one day where “you” will need it.
- Take one of the Rings she wears and measure the inside diameter.
- For the sneaky and crafty type, you can cut a thin piece of paper and wrap it around her finger while she is sleeping, tape it together around her finger, slide it off, then measure the inside diameter.
Can I show you photos of example Rings?
Yes! If you see photos of Rings you like, save them and show them to us! We can use photos as inspiration to help create your custom Ring.
Keep in mind that we cannot recreate copyrighted pieces, but we can use them as inspiration for your custom-made Ring.
Where are your Rings made?
All of our Rings are made in-house at our studio on 47th St in New York City!
Is my piece custom?
Yes! All of our pieces are designed for you, tailored to your specifications, and built around your perfect Diamond.
Do you offer free consultations?
Yes! We offer free consultations with one of our Graduate Gemologists to discuss your desires, needs, and budget. We create great pieces of jewelry by combining our experience with your vision, and starting this conversation is the first step towards creating something great!
How long does it take to create?
It usually takes 4-6 weeks to craft a Ring, but if you have a specific date and need it rushed, we can accommodate!
Do I need to sign for it?
Yes! Your Ring will require a signature to ensure it is not being worn on the wrong hand!
Does my Ring come with a box or do I have to get my own?
Your Ring will come with a Ring box, polishing cloth, appraisal, and original GIA Certification for the Diamond if applicable.
Where can I ship to?
We can ship to a residence or office.
Can you ship for the weekend?
We only ship Monday-Friday.
How does payment work?
Once you choose your Diamond, we ask for a 50% deposit so that we can ensure the Diamond will be yours. The remaining 50% will be requested and must be paid prior to shipping your piece.
What types of payment do you accept?
We make it easy for you to pay with either a credit card (+3%) or a wire transfer.
Do you do financing?
No, we do not.
Do you offer engagement Ring refunds?
Due to each piece being custom made, all sales are final. That said, if you have any issues with your piece, please reach out to us directly and we’ll see what we can do to resolve any issues.
Are custom pieces returnable?
Special orders are not returnable. Deposits for pieces are also non-refundable, but can be transferred to another project within Josh Levkoff Jewelry.
Can you resize my Ring?
Yes! Your first resize is complementary, and any resizes after that are $60. We recommend not resizing too many times because it can hurt the structure of the Ring. Keep in mind your Ring size can fluctuate with the seasons and that's totally normal!
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes! See our warranty policy in the applicable section.
What happens if I damage my Ring?
If you damage your Ring within the first 60 days, any repairs are complimentary. For repairing any wear and tear beyond 60 days, there may be fees associated. Please see our warranty section for more information.
Do you offer cleaning services?
Yes! Your Custom Ring comes with lifetime cleaning and polishing, free of charge. You just have to send it to us!
Do you offer engravings for Jewelry?
Yes, we offer Engraving on all jewelry where it is possible to engrave the item at the time of initial purchase.
What is a Diamond Certificate?
A Diamond Certificate, or Grading Report, is a blueprint for the Diamond. It gives you all of the details that you need to know when purchasing a Diamond, assessing the Diamond’s 4C’s – color, clarity, cut, and carat weight. It also includes a plotted diagram of its clarity characteristics and a graphic representation of the Diamond’s proportions.
Do I pay Sales Tax?
If you purchase from Josh Levkoff Jewelry and the order is shipped to a location in New York, your purchase is subject to states sales tax. Sales Tax may vary based on the final destination. Customers outside New York are responsible for reporting and adhering to their own state/country tax laws.
Please note that the following terms and conditions apply to all international orders:
- Prices and shipping fees do not include import and customs duties, Value Added Taxes (“VAT”), tariffs, and other fees that may be levied by the destination country, all of which are the responsibility of the purchaser. Josh Levkoff Jewelry is not responsible for brokerage fees, import and customs duties, Value Added Taxes (“VAT”), tariffs, and any other associated fees.
- The order recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws, regulations, and restrictions of the destination country.
- Josh Levkoff Jewelry is not responsible for delayed delivery of packages due to customs issues when shipping internationally.
- All costs incurred on a refused delivery because of high custom or brokerage fees, duties, taxes, or restrictions imposed by the country of destination are the responsibility of the purchaser.
