The round brilliant is traditionally the most popular diamond on the market. It has been around for hundreds of years. It is the only perfectly symmetrical shape and offers an unmatched brilliance. Rounds are the only shape GIA gives a cut grade. We recommend only purchasing Triple X or Excellent Cut, Excellent Polish & Excellent Symmetry finish for Round Diamonds. Excellent Cut Rounds hide color and clarity exceptionally well, allowing you to go down approximately two grades lower in color and clarity. Round Diamonds are traditionally the most expensive Cut due to the loss of Rough in the cutting process.
